The Petition

Whereas all human beings are created in the image of God and possess inherent dignity and worth from the moment of conception;

Whereas the intentional killing of an innocent human being is murder, regardless of age, size, location, or stage of development;

Whereas abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent preborn human being;

Whereas the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has a duty to protect every human life within its borders and to provide equal protection under the law to all persons;

Whereas no statute, regulation, or court opinion can make the killing of the innocent just;

Therefore, we the undersigned call upon the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to immediately pass legislation that:

1. Recognizes every human being as a person from the moment of conception
2. Provides equal protection under the law to preborn children, as it does to every other person
3. Treats abortion as the intentional killing of a human being, with the same protection the law gives any other victim
4. Contains no exceptions for the circumstances of conception or any other circumstance
5. Repeals every Massachusetts statute and regulation that authorizes, protects, or funds abortion
