Statement of Faith

Because we are Made Alive, we hold to the following beliefs:

• The Triune God

  We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

• Humanity and Sin

  We believe that humanity was created good but that, through the fall of Adam, sin entered the world and every person is born under the guilt of sin. Apart from the grace of God, we are spiritually dead and separated from Him.

• Jesus Christ

  We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became truly man while remaining truly God. He lived the sinless life we could not live and willingly gave Himself on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sinners, bearing the judgment and wrath that we deserve.

• The Resurrection

  We believe that Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death. He ascended into heaven and reigns as Lord and King.

• Salvation

  We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those who confess and repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven, justified before God, adopted as His children, and given eternal life—not because of their own righteousness, but because of Christ’s righteousness and finished work.

• The Holy Spirit

  We believe that the Holy Spirit gives new life to those who belong to Christ, dwells within them, sanctifies them, and empowers them to live in obedience to God.

• The Church

  We believe that the Church is called to proclaim the Gospel faithfully, to make disciples, to love our neighbors, to defend the vulnerable, to pursue justice, and to bear witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every sphere of life.

• The Return of Christ

  We believe that Jesus Christ will return bodily to judge the living and the dead, raise the dead, defeat every enemy, and establish His everlasting kingdom.
